Day 2:
The second day was probably my favorite of them all. Waking up around 11ish, and deciding first to go to the Mustafa Center. The Mustafa Center is Little India with food options, souvenirs, and other shopping options for a really low price.
The walk to Mustafa was probably around 12-15 minutes, but it felt like forever because it was sooo hot and humid outside. I do not think I have ever sweated that much that fast.
We decided to eat at one of the cafe’s around Mustafa Center. We got 12 popcorn chicken nuggets for 3 Singapore Dollars (USD: $2.15) and fries for only 3 SD too (USD: $2.15). I was so surprised and happy to notice how cheap the food was.
Once entering our hotel room we almost stripped naked because of how sweaty we became. We ate, relaxed, cooled down, and got prepared for the next activity.
The zoo was next, which if you know me, you know I love animals and was excited to go. Not ready for the sun, but ready to see the many different types of animals. And so we did, I saw so many animals that I have never seen before; the tapir was my favorite. I also got to see the inside of an elephants mouth, and reptiles running around freely in the zoo area. Getting to experience the zoo was amazing.
We returned to the hotel pretty hungry and decided to go to the Bugis Village. Bugis is an area with a mall, food options, and street business. I think the Bugis Village was better than the Mustafa Center. There we ate a Thai dish, and it was delicious. First time eating a whole meal with chop sticks, and I believe I did pretty well towards the end. And the souvenirs were so much cheaper here than Mustafa center. I did not know how you can go cheaper than 10 key chains for 10 dollars, but Bugis did!! I also got to try ice cream bread, which was also delicious!! After walking around Bugis and eating we headed back to the hotel to relax and prepare for the next day.
Love,
Liv
